Five Steps to Faking Flawless Skin

Step One: EVEN the skin tone by applying a tinted moisturizer to the face and down the neck to avoid any lines of color demarcation.

Step Two: SMOOTH the surface of the skin using Youngblood's Mineral Primer to fill in fine lines and large pores. We also recommend using the liquid foundation brush to apply this product for an even smoother application.

Step Three: HIDE any areas of discoloration from sun damage or breakouts by applying thin layers of Youngblood's Ultimate Concealer in your appropriate shade.

Step Four: COVER entire face with the Youngblood Foundation of your choice. Select LOOSE if you prefer a luminous finish, LIQUID if you like a dewy look, or PRESSED for a matte finish, an ideal choice for normal to oily skin.

Step Five: COMPLETE your flawless face by sweeping a thin layer of Youngblood's Hi-Definition Hydrating Perfecting Powder in either Transulcent or Warmth to give your skin an airbrushed appearance. This miracle product diffuses the light similar to the way a soft-focus lens does, giving you camera-ready confidence!

Winter Skin Solutions

DRY WINTER SKIN
Quench your thirsty skin with our most hydrating facial ever! The arid climate during the most wonderful time of the year can really take a toll on our skin. Living in the South, our skin is a little spoiled from the humidity that is actually good for keeping our skin hydrated during most of the year, but when that humidity takes a vacation and we crank up the heat in our homes, our skin becomes uncomfortably dehydrated and even a little itchy. The WINTER QUENCH FACIAL helps reintroduce necessary moisture into the skin. A proper cleanser (that does NOT strip surface moisture) and gentle exfoliant preps the skin to receive tons of hydration infused via ultrasound, followed by an intensely moisturizing massage and masque. Your skin will thank you!

SUN-DAMAGE FROM SUMMERS PAST
‘Tis the season for Chemical Peeling! Some Estheticians may offer to peel your face off during any time of the year. However, I feel strongly against peeling damaged layers to expose healthy, fresh skin in the spring and summer when the UV radiation is the most intense (the cause of most of that damage in the first place). It just seems a little counter-productive in my professional opinion. I like to take advantage of the winter months when the sun is further away and is less of a threat. Chemical Peeling can literally take years off the appearance of the skin, smoothing fine lines and evening out the blotchy complexion left by years of sun exposure. TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) is the chemical of choice for most clients who want to see major results in as little as two or three treatments over the course of a winter season. Some clients, however, prefer a less drastic approach and opt for a series of less intense peels (with alternative chemicals including Glycolic and Lactic Acids, both AHAs) that offer little or no downtime. As with most things in life, there is a trade-off with chemical exfoliation. A stronger peel that causes more downtime (TCA) will give more immediate results than an AHA peel, but both certainly have their place and meet the needs of clients with different lifestyles and skincare goals.

NEED A GLOW, BUT AREN’T KEEN ON CHEMICALS?
Diamond Microdermabrasion has been receiving props in the medical community lately as the most effective form of mechanical exfoliation available! While many of our competitors are using Aluminum Oxide Crystals for MDA, we are seeing INCREDIBLE results in epidermal rejuvenation with our Diamond Microdermabrasion system! Our system gently sloughs the dead surface layers, known as the stratum corneum, while stimulating circulation and the production of new collagen and elastin in the skin’s underlying structures. This is truly an effective treatment from the INSIDE OUT! Immediate effects are smoother, more vibrant-looking skin. Over time, with a series of this treatment, reduction in the visible signs of damage including wrinkles, discoloration, and elastosis (loss of elasticity) are diminished. A great treatment for anyone without conditions effecting the vascularity of the skin, including Rosacea.

ENVIRON is here! Product Highlight- AVST

The Advanced Vitamin Skin Therapy or AVST™ Range from Environ® Skin Care evolved for use in skin at any age, or in any condition in contemporary environments. Beauty therapy is no longer a field of feel-good applications as its primary aim, but aims to protect, restore and assist the skin to mobilise its innate ability to repair and maintain itself. Environ® AVST is the leader in this new exciting skin care philosophy.

The Environ® AVST™ range adopts a sound scientific approach which recognizes the normal physiology of skin as the gateway for encouraging normal skin cell behavior. The combination of Vitamin A, powerful antioxidants and flavonoids may help to restore skin cells which would result in a more youthful complexion with a smoother texture and a radiant, healthy glow.

The creams are produced in five varying strengths of vitamin A and C. All of the products contain antioxidants, flavonoids, penetrant enhancers and AVST™ 3, 4 & 5 contain peptides to promote collagen and elastin formation. For the best, long-term benefits follow the sequence of these strengths. This will enable your skin to become accustomed to the progressive strengths of the active ingredients in the formula while gaining maximum long-term benefits and avoiding potential retinoid reactions.

No preservatives are added during manufactur of the AVST™ range. Those preservatives represented in the declaration of ingredients are contained in a few of the raw materials that are essential to get the full benefits of this special AVST™ range.

This scientifically proven formula contains:
-Powerful antioxidants from Rooibos and Honeybush Tea Extract as well as Beta Carotene.
-The Rosemary Oil Extract works as an antioxidant with added anti-bacterial and mild antiseptic properties.
-Green Tea Extract provides further antioxidant properties to assist in the reduction of sun damage and also acts as a mild antibacterial.
-Resveratol to help combat the visible signs of ageing.
-Matrixyl®, which enhances the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, is included in the formula of AVST™ 3, 4 and 5
-Vitamin A in the form of Retinyl Palmitate is included in AVST™ 1,2,3, while AVST 4 has Retinyl Acetate and AVST 5 contains both Retinyl Palmitate and Acetate.
-Vitamin C in the form of VCIP an oil soluble, stabilized form of the vitamin

The creams are formulated to assist in the reduction of fine lines, sun damage, uneven skin tone and dry facial skin.

For the most effective results the cream should be used during the day with a sunscreen, SPF15 or higher and should be applied twice a day (morning and evening) after cleansing and toning.
